XiNiX™ : Network Overview & Details

Our network architecture utilizes the Enterprise routing and switching engines from Juniper and Cisco. We utilize Juniper M20 routers as border routers, Cisco 6500 series switches in our distribution layer and Cisco 6500 switches in our aggregation layers, and Cisco 3500 and 2900 series switches at the customer layer. Our network is fully meshed and redundant with 12 backbone providers.

We build in redundancy to ensure that your site is open for business. Each server is protected by our fire suppression system and multiple air conditioning systems (HVAC: Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning).In addition, we keep a supply of drives, network cards, processors, motherboards and every other piece of equipment that has even a remote chance of failure.


Our Network Infrastructure

All our data centers are functionally independent with distinct and redundant resources, and fully are integrated through a network architecture that allows seamless intra-data center capabilities. We're built to handle highly-customized hosting environments. Our model is to adjust to customer's needs quickly and efficiently.

Redundant 10-Gigabit Ethernet circuits are used across the entire core of the network, to reduce the risks of internal congestion due to DDoS attacks, and to maintain optimal flexibility. Our network is fully meshed, using BGP and OSPF, and redundant with a wide selection of backbone providers, as well as hundreds of direct peering relationships globally.

XINIX's Tier 3 data centers are SAS70 Type II and SSAE16 certified and deliver the latest in cutting-edge technology and high tech specifications that provide advanced security coupled with maximum uptime and redundancy.

Due to our geographic diversity, we are able to provide clients with full redundancy. We are Always Available at a Closest Possible Location for you. Our DC location feature UPS and generator backup power as well as 1200 Amps 480v power. The facilities arecooled by multiple Liebert and PAC CRAC units, and also features diverse paths for network. Additionally, the facility features biometric scanning for each door, and is staffed 24/7.

The Network Operations centres provides 24/7/365 monitoring of our servers, network status and our connectivity to upstream backbone providers. Our expert technicians identify potential issues and provide resolutions before any problems occur. With access to servers from the monitor room, support and administration personnel continually monitor systems and troubleshoot any problems.

We've invested in multiple points of presence around the world; a private global IP backbone network; and multiple upstream and peering connections to ensure a highly available network service. The Internode network doesn't rely on any one upstream or peering provider, thereby ensuring maximum performance and resiliency to normal everyday Internet events for our customers. We are incredibly proud to have chosen SoftLayer as our primary Datacenter Partner. At the moment, our clients are housed in Dallas, TX.

SoftLayer's geographically diverse PoP's provide seamless, direct, private, and high speed access to our backbone network, bringing connectivity closer to the end user. You may choose the SoftLayer POP location closest to your office or end users. High-speed metro-WAN services and cross connects from providers including Equinix and Telx are also available. Our network is built from best-in-class networking infrastructure, hardware, and software with exceptional bandwidth and connectivity for the highest speed and reliability.
